RUN FOR RON 5K WALK/RUN
Pancreatic cancer is the fourth leading cause of death in the United States. This is one of the most aggressive and deadly cancers there are. I only know this now because my dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in October of 2010. His prognosis was very grim. Traditional medicine gave us little hope with a 4-6 month life expectancy. My family is pursuing alternative medicine which has thus far been successful. He is in his fifth month since being diagnosed and he still plays basketball twice a week and can run a 7 minute mile. We are very hopeful that these methods will save his life. Unfortunately alternative methods are not covered by insurance. Due to this we have organized a 5K Walk/Run to help shoulder the costs of my dad’s medicine. Cancer affects so many people. Please join us on April 9th 2011 to fight this deadly disease one step at a time. Let’s fight this fight together.
