Journal entry: Friday January 14, 2011

I have decided to try and journal at least 2 or 3 times a week my personal feelings related to Ron's illness as well as our families struggles, trials, and trumiphs along the way. I know if we do try to go back years later to write our emotions they cannot be expressed with conviction.

Today I am reflecting on how we were led to Doctor Netherton; We were trying to get Ron to New York City to be seen by Doctor Gonazales, as he had a pretty good track record treating Pancreatic Cancer, some of his patients were alive after 5-10 years. After much work and wonderful family and friends having fund raisers to help with the expenses we were set to see Dr Gonzales on December 21st 2010 (boy we were excited). On or about the 1st of December Keith and Jeri Bowen friends of ours told me about a man who was treated about 5 or 6 years ago with Pancreatic Cancer and he was still alive today!Living in Excelsior Springs! WOW! I was so excited I wanted to go find him immediately and ask him what his secret was....... After many phone calls and tons of patiences, I got in touch with his neighbor who in turn told me that a Gary Nertherton was the doctor who had treated Jesse for his Pancreatic cancer.

I called Dr. Nertherton's office on December 11th and spoke with his wife on trying to set up a time for Ron to be seen, she told me there was a opening on January 18th 2011 a little discouraged hoping Ron could have gotten in sooner, I said we will take it. I thought we would be back from NY and a second opinion would be great (it could'nt hurt right). Well during our conversation Connie "said, wait! I can get Ron in on December 21st do you want it, I "said, yes knowing in my mind that it was the exact same date we were to be in NY with Dr. Gonzales!!!!

Ron was not feeling well at all so I knelt down by his side of the bed and told him our dilema about being at 2 places at one time. We pray earnestly to our Heavenly Father to see which Doctor's appointment to keep.

About 2 hours later I was moving boxes to our new office space when I received a phone call on my cell phone, the caller on the other end "asked, are you Nina Morris yes, was my response is Ron Morris your husband once again "yes. Well this is Doctor Gary Nertherton, and first of all I need to tell you I have never called a prespective patient before, however about 25 minutes ago I had this over whelming desire that I needed to call you directly, by this time I am sobbing, as I tell him that ealier that day Ron and I had knelt in humble pray to ask our Heavenly Father which Doctor we needed to see. I now had my answer, a very resonating answer. Dr. Netherton told me he was a Christian and truly believed also, that divine entervention brought us together.

I will tell more of our remarkable story regarding Doctor Netherton tomorrow.

In closing remarks, I know that my Redeemer lives, and loves me too. I know that Jesus Christ our elder brother is our advocate to the Father in our behalf and he does plead for us.

Edie I to love the song you printed, I listen to 97.3 on a daily basis and find comfort with the beautiflu Christian songs that they play. Edie you are truly a lady to behold.
